History

For some, it’s just a game…for the rest of us -- it’s a way of life!

In 2004, following a series of organized meetings of industry leaders, the World Paintball Commission was born. Through the vast collective knowledge and experience of its members, WPC’s objectives are to recognize the emerging challenges in the sport and to create solutions through a variety of resources that will secure a strong future for us all.

Paintball is the fastest growing action sport in the world, growing at a phenomenal rate of 20% each year. In less than 10 years, Paintball has come out of the woods and come into its own through amateur and pro leagues, college teams at over 100 universities, 2000 plus retail stores and playing fields from coast to coast, and organized tournaments and events now held worldwide. Paintball has redefined what it means to be an athlete and competitor in the world of sports.

Mission

The World Paintball Commission (WPC) is an organization dedicated to promoting the Paintball industry worldwide through education and safety.

Vision

WPC’s vision is to be a recognized voice for the industry -- the vital link between the private and public sector providing education, safety information, and resources to its members, their employees, players, dedicated fans, and the public at large.

Goals

• To provide information, open lines of communication, and encourage networking through online forums, regional and national events
• To offer high-quality educational and learning opportunities from practical how-to materials to hands-on training programs
• To recognize outstanding industry achievement and spotlight those who take the sport and business of Paintball to a higher level
• To examine safety issues, develop industry wide solutions, and make safety the top priority
• To awaken consumer consciousness and encourage their direct participation in safety measures
• To work in cooperation with governmental regulatory agencies, recreational youth sports establishments and other organizations to provide a safe, solid foundation for the sport of Paintball

Get Involved!

Advisory Board and Committee seats are open to select WPC members. WPC meeting are held around the country at major events and tournaments to share ideas, discuss common problems and experiences, help plan programs and provide input in developing member services. Participation brings together members and viewpoints which might not otherwise be heard. Your involvement can help the WPC achieve its strategic goals in a tangible and measurable way.
